Murray Visser, AACI, P.App. (President)
Murray received his undergraduate degree in business from Wilfrid Laurier University, and has worked in the real estate field since that time, focusing on appraisal and related services for the last 20 years. Prior to becoming the owner of PVCI in 2004, he worked in Toronto for Ernst & Young as a manager in the real estate consulting practice, and with CIBC in the real estate construction financing group. In the 1990s he worked at Lincoln North and Company as a senior appraiser. Lincoln North and Company was the pre-eminent appraisal firm in Canada, catering to institutional investors, pension funds and large private developers.
Derek Williams, AACI, P.App. (Durham Region Office)
Derek Williams received his AACI accreditation in June 2011 after completing the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Real Property Valuation through the University of British Columbia and his Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Housing and Real Estate Management from the University of Guelph. Derek has completed a wide variety of appraisals across Ontario and specializes in valuing properties for the Port Hope Area Initiative. Outside of appraisal work, Derek has completed several lease analysis for both private firms and Crown Corporations.
Tobe Otvos, AACI, P.App. (Durham Region Office)
Tobe graduated from Brock University in 1996 with an honours Business Administration degree. Since 2005, Tobe has appraised commercial real estate and attained the professional designation of AACI, P.App. in 2011. He has appraised a broad assortment of property types and specializes in income producing properties including office buildings, retail properties, self storage facilities and gas stations among others.
Rick Van Andel, AACI, P.App. (Durham Region Office)
Rick received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph in 2007 in the Housing and Real Estate Management Programme. Shortly after graduating he began his employment at PVCI assisting in work relating to commercial real estate properties. In 2009 he earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation, paving the way for accreditation into the Appraisal Institute of Canada, receiving the AACI designation as a professional appraiser in 2011. Additionally, Rick became a licensed Realtor in 2008 through the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
